Board Meeting Minutes - September 21, 2020

FOOTBALL- First home game is Senior Night- Friday, Oct 2.

Tickets & Attendance

  • Tickets are limited and will be sold online in advance only.

  • Band, football and cheer families will have early access to purchase tickets.

  • Band students who are performing at the game do NOT need a ticket.

  • Each week of a home game (most likely Tuesday), Mr. Pagett will distribute a link through Remind for early access to game tickets. Each student's family can purchase 2 tickets before the general public. (Multi-student families should try to limit to 2 tickets total if possible.)

  • The general public will have access on Thursday, at which point student families may also buy additional tickets.

  • Masks will be required at all times on school grounds.

  • Limited concessions will be for sale.

  • Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.

Student Information

  • Call time is 5:30 p.m. in the band room. Drop off in front of school. Students should dress for the weather. It currently looks like it will be chilly and possibly damp. Students should wear a solid color pant (jeans, leggings, khaki) in good condition.

  • Students will be provided with a Wade Hampton branded neck gaiter (buff mask) to wear when outside. Students should bring a personal mask to wear when inside, as the gaiters have shown mixed efficacy as masks in research studies. Students may wear a mask under the gaiter when outside with the group if preferred.

  • We will follow COVID mitigation guidelines for outdoor playing.

  • Students should bring a filled water jug.

  • A light (sandwich) meal will be provided. Students will not be able to enter the stadium to purchase concessions.

  • Due to capacity limits, students will be outside the stadium at the end of the football practice field. This will still give them a great vantage point for the game. Spectators will not be allowed in this band student area.

  • Pick up/dismissal time will be approximately 10-10:30 p.m., depending on how long the game lasts. Mr. Pagett will send a Remind text at the conclusion of the game. Students will be picked up in front of the school.

Senior Night Information: Students

  • Seniors should bring warm clothes to change into after Senior Night festivities.

Senior Night Information: Parents

  • The festivities will start around 6:30 p.m. An exact time will be sent to you as soon as possible.

Volunteer Needs

  • Ann-Marie and Robyn will coordinate volunteers and donations

    • Sandwiches for student meal.

    • Chaperones

    • Concessions

FUTURE FOOTBALL DATES: Oct 16 (Dorman), Nov 6 (Eastside), Nov 13 (TBD). Same protocols and volunteer needs apply.

FUNDRAISERS: Discussing virtual, no-contact fundraiser ideas. Laundry detergent sales is one idea. The group will brainstorm and send info to Karen.

FINANCES: Elizabeth is no longer able to serve as Treasurer. Ronda volunteered to fulfill these duties in her absence. The bank meeting was held Sept 16 and signature cards were updated. Ronda and Karen are on the signature card. Need to file our 990. Ronda will take care of this. Riley has experience with non-profit 990 filing and can advise Ronda if she needs help. Jennifer will help as needed. A plan was made to safely and appropriately check the Red Box for checks and cash. Since parents cannot enter the building, Pagett will carry the locked Red Box out to the parking lot to meet Ronda who will then unlock and remove any payments. She will then text Jennifer with the payment information to be credited to student accounts, and make the deposits.
