WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS - September 5, 2017

Thanks to the parents who came to the Parent Meeting tonight! It is only with the involvement of our parents that we can do what we do! Here's a review from the meeting / new info if you missed the meeting.

Thursday, September 7 Rehearsal, 6-9 pm (NOTE DIFFERENT TIME) - Thursdays with home JV games will be 6-9 pm

Monday, September 11 Sectional rehearsals, 4-6 pm

Tuesday, September 12 Rehearsal, 4-7 pm

WENDY'S FUNDRAISING NIGHT, 5:30 - 8:30 pm Pick up some dinner after rehearsal and tell them you are with the band!

Thursday, September 14 Rehearsal, 4-7 pm

Friday, September 15 - HOME FOOTBALL GAME 5:30 - Call Time at band room

Saturday, September 16 - Greenville County Exhibition, Mauldin High 9 am - morning rehearsal call time 12:30 pm - dismiss for shower/lunch 2:15 pm - call time at WHHS 5:45 pm - PERFORMANCE TIME 10 pm - dismiss / pick up time at WHHS

Volunteers are still needed for this Thursday night as well as everything for our busy week next week - Friday night game and Saturday Competition!

FRUIT SALE - September 5 through October 2

All band members are asked to participate in our annual Fruit Sale. We've asked students to start turning in orders and money each week by practice Thursday to be eligible for the weekly "Fruity Friday" drawings.

  • Fruit will be delivered to the school in early December

  • Goal is 7 boxes per student

  • ONLINE ORDERS accepted (also delivered to the school) at https://www.floridaindianrivergroves.com/ecommerce/796163

  • Check orders should be placed in the envelope and checks made to WHHS Band Boosters.

  • Donations (instead of fruit) are always accepted!

SAVE THE DATE

On Saturday, September 23, we will have a fundraising event - yard sale, bake sale and car wash. Put it on your calendar and start pulling out yard sale worthy items to donate! More information on drop off location coming soon.

PAYMENTS

Payments for all the following are NOW DUE. Please contact Mr. Pace if you are unable to complete these payments:

  • Band fee ($150 cash or check ONLY - do not pay online)

  • accessories package (all students - $15)

  • compression shirt (non-color guard only - $15)

  • shoes (those who need them - $36)

  • First portion ($100) of student individual fundraising
