BAND NOTES - February 18, 2019

CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to the WHHS Winter Guard and Indoor Percussion on their incredible performances at CWEA Pickens. After getting promoted to advanced classes, both groups placed very well.

• Winter Guard placed 5th in AAA out of 12 groups, taking home second place in both movement and equipment!

• Percussion placed 2nd in Percussion A Advanced, placing above the 2018 WGI World Championships bronze medalists.

COLOR GUARD 2019 AUDITIONS

If you or someone you know is interested in participating in the color guard with the marching band this fall, plan to attend auditions on February 19 and 26, 4-6 pm in the band room. No prior experience is necessary.

TACOS 4 TUNES AT WILLY TACO

Tickets were distributed to most students last week. If your student did not pick up tickets, please remind them the importance of everyone doing their part. Tickets are available from Mr. Pace.

REMINDERS

• Students and parents are needed to work one hour shifts at the event, everything from filling drinks to selling raffle tickets. Choose a spot that works best for you.

• Everyone should share the information with everyone, talk it up at work, share the event on social media, etc.

• Buy your tickets and plan to attend!
