Booster Meeting Minutes - November 12, 2019

I. Call Meeting to Order – Debbie Porter II. Financial Report – Tammy Smith III. Status Report on Band Dues and Fees – Robyn Wilcox

Update on band feesTo date we have received over 71% of the expected band fees, which is an improvement over previous years. 33 families have paid or received sponsorships for 100% of their fees.

Unfortunately, 28 families owe more than $100 on band fees.The volunteer reductions for both parents and students has been well-received.

The amount that hasn't been paid or reduced adds up to almost $14,000 that has to be made up with other fundraising to cover our budget.

Volunteers

373 volunteer shifts have been completed so far by 48 parents (38 families)

31 families haven't had either parent officially volunteer yet (45%)

Communications

We've sent 21 major emails to the entire group and maintain an average open rate of about 64%.

We've also begin using Remind again for quick reminders and have an average open rate around 70%.

Our Facebook pages has grown to 288 page likes and our results, pictures and video posts often reach over 1000 people each.

Any needs/issues to address to parent group? b. Do we need uniform repair? Do we want to ask for volunteers to help with this during off season? c. Need to bring in additional business/community sponsors. Should start in the spring, not summer/fall. Would be great to get a parent to help take the lead in this area.
