FIRST REAL PERFORMANCE THIS SATURDAY
Yes, they've performed at half-time, but this is the first band event! It isn't a competition this time, but it is just like what you'll see on competition days.
Here's the schedule:
9 AM - Rehearsal begins
12 PM - Load Truck
1 PM - Dismiss - Shower and eat lunch on your own
3 PM - Call time at WHHS - change into uniforms/costumes
3:30 PM - Depart for Mauldin High School
4 PM - Arrive at Mauldin and unload
5 PM - Eat light dinner
5:30 PM - Warm-up
6:30 PM - Walk to Gate
6:45 PM - Set Up
7 PM - PERFORM
7:30 PM - Load Truck
8:30 PM - Retreat (all bands on field)
9 PM - Depart for WHHS
9:30 PM - Arrive at WHHS and unload
approx. 10 PM - Dismiss (Pick Up Time)
If you are coming to cheer on our awesome band, make sure you arrive well before 7 pm to allow for parking, walking, and finding a seat.
Remember, dismissal time is approximate. Students are not allowed to leave until Mr. Pace dismisses them, which is after everything is unloaded and put away and their meeting is finished.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE ADDITION
An additional rehearsal has been tentatively scheduled for Friday afternoon, September 14, 4 - 7 pm, to further prepare for Saturday.
With the uncertainty of the weather this week, please be prepared to be flexible. If practices are rained out, we may need to add a rehearsal or adjust times. And of course, weather could change or cancel the event on Saturday. As soon as we know, we will communicate changes.
FOOD DONATIONS FOR COMPETITIONS
As you see on the schedule, part of the day is eating. Unless otherwise indicated, the main course for the meal is covered, but we need parents to help supplement with fruits, veggies and desserts.

All band parents are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting where we will discuss plans and needs for upcoming events as well as provide updates on progress so far.
And of course we will answer any questions you may have about what's going on with the band.

The first of our monthly bake sales at WHHS is Friday, September 14, during all lunches. Students, stop by to purchase some sweet treats - and encourage your friends to buy too! All proceeds go directly to your band!
