BAND NOTES - July 22, 2018


NEW for 2018 - Band Camp Dinners

With this year's band camp schedule, students will have two meal breaks during the long days. However, students are not allowed to leave the school campus during the lunch and dinner breaks for band camp 2018.

Students must provide their own lunch each day, so they can bring a bag lunch or willing parents/friends can bring them lunch. Students MUST eat SOMETHING, or they won't make it to the end of the day.

For dinner, we are providing the option of purchasing a meal each day. We will be bringing in pre-arranged box meals from various local restaurants. This is OPTIONAL and students still have the option to bring a second meal each day or someone can bring them dinner. Students MUST eat SOMETHING, or they won't make it to the end of the day.

If you choose to purchase the meal, the cost will be $5 per day, or if you buy the whole week the cost is $20. Students will indicate their choice each morning at check in and will be expected to pay at that time.

Monday, July 30, 7 pm

On the first evening of band camp, come early to meet other band parents, ask any questions you may have, and watch rehearsal to see what they are working on. It will make it that much better when you see the final result 10 days later!


  • Are you drinking more water?

  • Are you increasing physical activity, especially outside?

  • Are you playing your instrument?

  • Do you have healthy protein breakfasts, tennis shoes and light weight clothing ready for Band Camp?

  • Find a small backpack or draw-string bag and stock it with other things you'll need - hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, small towel
