Boosters Meeting Minutes - February 6, 2018
Meeting began at 6:30 pm Carleen welcomed the parents to the Band Booster Meeting.
Financials:
We currently have $2,020.81 in our BB&T account and $3,078.20 in or PayPal account
We still need to pay for Spin Club staff through May and banquet items
Lacrosse bought the rest of the Coke products from concession stand for $75.00
We made $140 last Bake Sale
We made about $400 at Pizza Inn fundraiser
Fundraisers:
Bake Sale – February 9 th in the Cafeteria
Valentine’s Day theme – drop off in front office and labeled “Band Bake Sale”
Also have a Photo Booth and charge $1.00
Sign Ups available
Pizza Inn will be in April
We will have 2 shifts for workers – 5:30-7:30 and 6:30-8:30 with an overlap during the busies time
Need at least 2 parent chaperones for each shift and a Board member to stay and count money at the end of the night.

Sign Ups available for kids and parent chaperones
Wendy’s Night is March 13 th from 5:30-8:30 pm
Tipsy Taco profit Night is February 20 th
Ideas for additional fundraisers in the Spring
Walmart $ for $ match
Laundry Soap – come in 5 gallon buckets and can have a good profit
World’s Finest Chocolate – we could start in March.
Must have a minimum purchase of 100 boxes
Car Wash/Yard Sale/Bake Sale – May 19 th tentatively
Coordinate with local firemen to help get cash donations on the street corners
Consider 2 locations: Walmart and Chick-fil- a
Fruit Sales next year
We may be using an different distributor from California, PJ’s
Byrnes uses them also
Better product and they also sell Cheescakes
Board Positions:
Need to fill the President, Treasurer and Secretary positions
VP of Communications & Marketing will remain on the Board and mentor her replacement after next year.

Need to get uniform team together to unpack and size all of the uniform pieces
Pick a Saturday morning soon
Drum Major auditions will be in April or May
Band sponsorship from Smokehouse 29
New restaurant on Wade Hampton (Old Bika’s restaurant)
Want to be “friends of the band”
Donate food at cost
Possibly use for concessions
Events
Concert Festival is March 20 th at Dorman after school. Perform at 6:15 pm
Spring Clinic – May 12 th
Banquet – May 14 th
Spin Club

Will continue through May
There will be no Spin Club on February 13 th due to other scheduling conflicts
Need a sponsor for the WGI – Charlotte trip if they are still interested in going
Updates from Mr. Pace
Banner for band room – 4A State Finals and add years
Want to hang vinyl backdrops of last year’s show on wall
Storage unit is getting painted now and should be delivered soon
Globe from a previous show need to be removed from the baseball storage unit – vote was to get rid of it
Next year’s show and props
Want to consider using a prop company to manufacturer props next year
We can still use Theater company for some props
Also consider purchasing props already made from previous years
May need to purchase a show for next year
Need to email rising 9 th graders
Mr. Pace will follow up with a phone call

Board can follow up for a third time
