BAND NOTES - January 22, 2018
Here are some reminders and information about band activities from the Band Boosters and A.J. Pace, Director of Bands.
MORE CONGRATULATIONS
to our Wade Hampton Band students who auditioned for Region band this past Saturday. While the results will not be final until after this coming Saturday's All-State Call-Back Auditions, we had SIX students perform so well they have been invited to audition for All-State next Saturday at Lexington High School!
Bess Bridwell, Pablo Galindo, Gio Garcia, Nathan Painter, Taylor Smith, and Lance Wilcox
Three students also did very well at region auditions and could possibly be seated in the All-Region band, pending the results of the All-State auditions.
Anupriya Roy, Carson Smith, and Colin Stephens
All-Region and All-State membership will be finalized after auditions this coming weekend.
Join us in wishing our students GOOD LUCK as they audition for the South Carolina All-State Band! KEEP MAKING US PROUD!
PIZZA INN FUNDRAISER Thursday, January 25
URGENT NEED - WANT TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE ENOUGH SERVERS.
For a successful fundraiser, we need:
1. Student Volunteers
Students will bus tables, get drinks and keep them filled, and be generally helpful. The band receives tips for the night as well as a percentage of the night's sales. Workers must be 16 years old or over.
2. Parent Volunteers
A few adults are also needed to help and monitor our students
3. Eaters!
Come out to Pizza Inn in Greer between 6 and 9 pm, enjoy the pizza buffet, and remember to tip generously!
WHHS Band Boosters is always grateful for your donation.
If you have unpaid band expenses, please get payments to the Boosters asap or talk to Mr. Pace if you need assistance.
