This is MIDDLE SCHOOL NIGHT, when we welcome middle school band kids as our special guests.
5:30 - Call Time at band room
eat healthy before, bring filled water bottle and knee pads,
wear show shirt and blue jeans
6:00 - warm up in band room
6:45 - move to stadium
7:15 - perform pre-game
7:30 - kick off
Halftime - performance
3rd quarter - Pizza provided for band members and
middle school visitors
Students will return to the band room, clean up, meet and then be dismissed. Parents should wait in the pick up line for students.

Volunteers are still needed for the Friday night game, for concessions and especially prop helpers.As you've hopefully seen, our multitude of props takes a small army of parents to get it out there and placed. If you aren't already signed up for something, please consider helping with props.

BAND DANCE PARTY
September 23 | 7-10 pm
Holiday Inn Express, 1036 Woodruff Road
Tickets $15 each - cash or check to WHHS Band Boosters
Snacks and drinks provided.
Students are allowed to bring a date who isn't in our band, but guests must have their school-issued ID.
Dress code expectations are the same as WHHS dances.
Band chaperones will be on hand. Parents, if you are interested in helping out, please contact Noel Pagan at (404) 348-7112.

PAYMENTS and PAPERWORK (online!)
Being part of the band includes requirements for both students and parents. At this point in the season, we should have all payments made and forms completed. As of now:
4 students have unpaid band fees ($150 paid to the school)
8 students have not paid for the accessories package they already received ($15)
4 non-guard students have not paid for the compression shirt ($15)
8 non-guard students have not paid for band shoes ($36)
4 parents and students haven't completed the band form online, which means we have no health information and no emergency contact information
PLEASE get these items completed so we can focus on making great band.

FRUIT SALE - through October 2
We are half way - Have you sold any boxes?
All band members are asked to participate in our annual Fruit Sale. We've asked students to start turning in orders and money each week by practice Thursday to be eligible for the weekly "Fruity Friday" drawings.
Fruit will be delivered to the school in early December
Goal is 7 boxes per student

Check/cash orders should be placed in the envelope and checks made to WHHS Band Boosters.
Donations (instead of fruit) are always accepted!
Note: Florida Indian River Groves has let us know that their damage from Irma was minimal and they don't expect any issues in delivering the fruit that is ordered as scheduled.
