WEEKLY REMINDERS - August 20, 2017

Here are some reminders and information about band activities from the Band Boosters and A.J. Pace, Director of Bands.


Monday, August 21 NO REHEARSAL (this is a recent change on the calendar)

Tuesday, August 22 Rehearsal, 4-7 pm (this is a recent change on the calendar)

Thursday, August 24 Rehearsal, 4-7 pm

Friday, August 25 - FIRST HOME FOOTBALL GAME 5:30 - Call Time at band room eat healthy before, bring filled water bottle, wear blue jeans (students will receive their show shirt to wear) 6:00 - warm up in band room 6:45 - move to stadium 7:15 - perform pre-game 7:30 - kick off Halftime - perform (opener) on field After the game - perform again if allowed Students will return to the band room, clean up, meet and then be dismissed. Parents should wait in the pick up line for students.

Drop Off and Pick Up Lane - for game night too:

  • For all practice, games and competitions, all band drop off and pick up will be through the fire lane at the side of the school.

  • Enter the main entrance to the school and follow the lane to the right of the building.

  • Cars should line up to the left, leaving room on the right side for cars to pass.

  • Only faculty and staff should enter through or park in the back.

  • Driving students should park in the student lot - not behind the school.

  • Parents who are parking to come inside should park in the front of the school.

Payments for all the following are NOW DUE. Please contact Mr. Pace if you are unable to complete these payments:

  • Band fee ($150 cash or check ONLY - do not pay online)

  • accessories package (all students)

  • compression shirt (non-color guard only)

  • shoes (those who need them)

If you are unsure what you owe, please go to to see any orders with a balance due.

REMINDER: First portion of student individual fundraising is requested by August 31.

Talk to friends, family and local businesses today to find sponsors for WHHS Band.

Funds raised will go toward the student's individual fundraising requirement while helping provide the money we need to purchase props and other early-season supplies.
