UPDATE  March 9, 2017

Please see this message from the Robb Family, and see below for additional requests.

There will be a Memorial service to celebrate John’s life on Sunday, March 12th from 1:00 to 5:00 at Timmons Arena (Furman University). If you love John and would like to share in the celebration of his life and how he impacted others, please join us and bring stories and special memories to share. Memorial will start at 1:00 with music to celebrate his life beginning at 2:00. (WHHS will be performing "the closer" - details below.) In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wade Hampton High School band or to the GoFundMe account. Funds from the GoFundMe account will help assist in starting a foundation to provide scholarships for other students to continue his legacy and love of music. Band Students - Memorial Celebration on Sunday

  • Large school-owned instruments will be loaded on the truck Sunday morning at WHHS beginning about 10am. Help is needed but transportation to/from Timmons Arena is NOT PROVIDED so if you come help, make sure you have arranged for someone to take you from there to Furman.

  • The instruments will need to be unloaded at Timmons at about 11:30 am, so if you can, come early and help.

  • All students who want to play should arrive at Timmons Arena by 1 pm (preferably earlier) to rehearse before the celebration. Bring your music and personal small instruments.

  • Help will also be needed to re-load the truck after the celebration (please stay and help) as well as back at WHHS after the event, about 5:30 pm.
