WEEKLY REMINDERS - November 1, 2016

Here are some reminders and information about this week's activities from the Band Boosters and A.J. Pace, Director of Bands.

BAND FRUIT SALE - LAST WEEK! Please get those orders in - Sale ends November 7 Here's the process, step by step:

  1. Sell: Ask family, friends, teachers and neighbors to select their favorite fruit from the color order sheet (ask Mr. Pace if you need a new one)

  2. Collect: Collect the money (checks made out to WHHS Band Boosters) or ask them to order online at https://www.floridaindianrivergroves.com/ecommerce/796163

  3. Turn in: For cash or check orders, fill out the back of the printed envelope to show how many boxes of each kind you sold. Place the money in the envelope, seal it, fold it and put it in the red box. (additional envelopes are available on the red box if needed)

Remember, we don't want to encourage anyone to use direct ship - we make 1/2 as much money on those orders.​ ​

PROFIT OPTION If your student has not sold fruit and instead you wish to pay the profit that the 7 boxes would have made, the average profit comes out to $60.20. Checks made out to WHHS Band Boosters can be placed in a plain envelope and put in the red box.

MORE BAND OPPORTUNITIES

Band opportunities continue after marching band! Take a few minutes to check out the new opportunities available.

  • ​Basketball Pep Band

Students will be playing before and during half time of girls and boys home varsity games.

  • Winter Guard

Indoor guard squad that will compete with squads from other Greenville County High Schools.

BOA TRIP - CHANGE IN DEPART/ARRIVE LOCATION Thanks to the great turn out of WHHS students going on the trip, the buses will be leaving from Wade Hampton instead of Greenville High.

Students will be leaving during school on Friday, November 11, so they will need to bring their weekend bags with them to school. The bags can be left in the band room.

CONNECTIONS NEEDED!

Need location for Winter Guard rehearsals! We are looking for a basketball gym or similar indoor area that is available after school Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays that is as close as possible to the school. If you have any connections to help, please get in touch with Mr. Pace asap.

NEW WEBSITE! We are always trying to improve our communications, and the latest effort is a new website through Wix. On this site, you'll be able to see the full calendar, find the weekly email messages in case you missed them, see meeting minutes, and find answers to FAQs. Bookmark it on your computer and mobile - totally mobile-friendly!
