WEEKLY REMINDERS October 17, 2016
Here are some reminders and information about this week's activities from the Band Boosters and A.J. Pace, Director of Bands.
From Mr. Pace:
I wanted all of you to know that today's rehearsal was INCREDIBLE and our run through at the end was also INCREDIBLE. The work ethic I saw out of our students today was truly inspiring! We have a very busy week this week, but we are at our final push and I can say with certainty that our students are ready to rise to the challenge. Today was just a small taste of what is to come this week. I have never been more excited about a marching band than I am at this very moment. I am still in awe of the professionalism and work ethic that I saw from our students today. The Wade Hampton Marching Generals are on to something special. This Saturday will one to remember!

UPPER STATE COMPETITION
We want to encourage all family and friends to come out to support our Marching Generals this Saturday
Boiling Springs High School
The scheduled performance time is 11:15 AM.
Please note, parking is sometimes fairly distant, so allow plenty of time to walk to the stadium.
Wear your band spirit wear if you have it, stop by the shout-out tent to share some encouraging words, and make some noise for these kids.
As Mr. Pace said, this is a big, busy week and more than ever:
WE NEED YOUR HELP! WE REALLY CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT MORE OF YOU!
Whether you've volunteered before or not, please consider joining us for this week.
Now that the show has all come together, there are more props that need to get on the field.
There is limited time to get set up, so we need more hands to get them out and to get them back off the field.
We have to have enough people to be putting together the props and transporting the pieces to the field and making sure the band is hydrated before performing, all at the same time.
Parents, grandparents, siblings over age 10 - all can help
We know you want to see the show performance, but it is more important at this moment that the judges and audience see a great performance, and that may mean volunteers watch on the sidelines. Honestly, it is pretty awesome to be right there when they come off the field, sharing in their excitement, and being among the first to tell them how awesome they are. BAND FRUIT SALE - START TURNING IN ORDERS! We've asked students to start turning in orders and money each week byThursday to be eligible for the weekly "Fruity Friday" drawings.

A REMINDER ABOUT PICK UP Thank you for your cooperation on the new pick up location through the fire lane at the side of the school. However, please note, the gates will only be open for 30 minutes after scheduled pick up time. Please be on time to pick up your child so that everyone can get home to their families.
Fruit and dessert donations for this weekend If you are able to donate some fruit or dessert forSaturday, please drop it at the band room when you bring your student.
